len@magellanplanning.com Len is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a BS in Business Administration and Accounting. He was president of the Olympic Club while on campus. Len also graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he earned Order of the Coif by graduating second in his class. He served as Editor-in-Chief of the Tennessee Law Review his senior year and was the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity Graduate of the Year. Len has been practicing law for over thirty years with a primary focus in trust and estate law, and was one of the first attorneys in Georgia to recognize the special needs of our aging population by becoming involved in a newly recognized area of the law known as Elder Law. He was one of the early members of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Georgia State Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar Association. In addition, Len is a member of the Cobb County Estate Planning Council, the Georgia Elder Care Network and the Cobb Justice Foundation. Len also serves on the Professional Advisory Board of “Operation Homefront,” which is dedicated to providing assistance to the families of deployed service members fighting the war on terrorism. Len has had a lifelong personal interest in the financial markets, initially from a personal and family perspective. Beginning in 1983, he began the process of taking the professional courses necessary to formalize this interest, and now is fully licensed as a Registered Representative, General Securities Principal and General Municipal Principal, all registered with Raymond James Financial Services (member NASD/SIPC). In addition, he holds the Registered Investment Advisor Representative license, registered with both Raymond James and Magellan Wealth Management, Inc. On the personal side, Len is a Viet Nam veteran, serving in the U. S.
Army until honorably discharged in 1968. Len has one daughter, Cody,
who graduated from the University of Georgia and earned a graduate degree
at the University of Colorado. She is a schoolteacher in Asheville,
North Carolina, and made Len a grandfather for the first time
in February of ‘07. Len and his wife Anita, who recently retired
after thirty years with BellSouth, live in Indian Hills in Marietta. |

kevin@magellanplanning.com An Atlanta native, Kevin's family settled in Georgia in the late 1780's and is widely known for Meaders Pottery, which has some pieces proudly displayed in the Smithsonian. Kevin graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta with a double B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science. While at Oglethorpe, Kevin served as class president three out of four years and interned under then Secretary of State Max Cleland and also under then Governor Zell Miller. Immediately after graduation, Kevin accepted an invitation from the University of Moscow in Russia to pursue further study in post-Cold War Eastern European economic integration. Kevin graduated from Georgia State University College of Law, focusing on estate planning and trust law. In addition, upon completion of required studies and a national two-day board examination, he earned the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP™). Kevin has continued his life-long process of education and has also earned the designations of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Kevin has passed all required exams, and kept up required continuing education classes to hold General Securities Principal and Registered Representative licenses registered with Raymond James Financial Services (member NASD/SIPC). He also has achieved the Registered Investment Advisor Representative license, under which he is registered with both Raymond James and MWM, Inc. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Georgia State Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar Association. On a personal note, Kevin has played drums since age 5, picked up trumpet at age 13, and guitar at age 33. An avid animal lover, Kevin donates some of his time and money to the Atlanta Humane Society, Noah’s Wish, PAWS, and Fur-Kids. He also currently serves on the President’s Advisory Council of Oglethorpe University, and is active in Oglethorpe’s Alumni committees. Kevin served as an instructor at Emory University’s Center for Lifelong Learning in Fall, 2006. Kevin and his wife Gui, a native of Brazil, live in Dunwoody. |

jennifer@magellanplanning.com Jennifer graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Marketing. Immediately following graduation, she headed to Atlanta to launch her business career. Jennifer worked in the tradeshow exhibit industry for more than six years, managing the multitude of details involved in selling, transporting and assembling exhibits for local and national tradeshows. In 2003, Jennifer left the business-to-business field and came to Magellan Planning Group, where she could work with people on a more personal level. Jennifer handles all of our marketing efforts, whether to the general public or to our own family of clients. This includes seminars, website development and maintenance, newsletters, and overall client satisfaction. Jennifer is our point of contact for what we’re doing right and what we can do better. Jennifer also assists with paralegal work for Magellan Legal. |

melissa@magellanplanning.com Melissa the first person that greets you when coming to our office. Melissa answers the phone and books appointments, but also works closely with Erin in handling the day-to-day paperwork that comes with financial management. Melissa had worked for several years in the service industry and joined Magellan Planning Group in 2003 when she decided to pursue a career in business that would also allow her to utilize her personal skills. Melissa is a graduate of Kennesaw University with a BBA in Business Management. |
